Ethan Schroeder - PR Intern at the Boston Office
Tell us three fun facts about yourself:
1. I was born and raised in Southeastern (Mystic) Connecticut. Mystic is situated right on the water, and I love the beach. A lot of people know Mystic because of the Mystic Aquarium, and I actually worked there one summer during high school. Sadly, it wasn't with the animals though.
2. I've previously interned at the Boston Globe as a high school sports writer; though I love going to games in the area, I'm a huge New York sports fan (Giants, Knicks, Yankees), which can prove to be an inconvenience at times. Sports in general are a big passion, both watching and playing.
3. I'm a big reader and, like most people, Netflix binger. My favorite book is "The Great Gatsby," and my favorite movies can all basically be found in Leonardo DiCaprio's filmography. Right now, I'm working on Hunter S. Thompson's novel, "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas."
What made you go into PR and what do you love most about it?
I chose to go into PR because I appreciate its core values; being able to tell a clear and concise story, relaying a message and managing relationships align with my prior experience as a journalist. I’m relatively new to focusing specifically on PR, but I love its focus on creativity and its position right in the middle of the news cycle.
What made you select PAN? Initial impressions so far?
I selected PAN because of its youthful, energetic workplace and dedication to continuous growth in the PR and marketing fields. So far, everybody I’ve met on staff has been extremely kind and helpful in acclimating me to the PAN team.
Where can we find you on the weekends?
If the weather is nice enough, I can often be found outside playing soccer or basketball. If I’m not there, I’m probably out exploring Boston.
