Tell us three fun facts about yourself.

 1) I blew up my toilet with a Molotov Cocktail (aka  hairdryer) …it was a total freak accident, I swear!

 2) I fell partially down a waterfall last summer

 3) I once saw Ron Howard and Tom Hanks filming  Angels and Demons while in Italy

What made you go into PR and what do you love most about it?

I love storytelling in its many forms. From my experience, PR doesn’t get enough credit – I’ve seen folks go ga-ga about amazing ad campaigns and their ability to move the needle on brand awareness, but I’ve seen over and over that stories worth telling make the news – without an exorbitant ad budget. Integrated is my jam, so what I love most is seeing how different tactics line up across channels and through paid, owned and earned strategies to really make magic happen. That’s my favorite part: that aha moment when it all comes together – how to play upon people’s strengths and really strong insight, translated into results across the board. (Oh, and I really nerd out on research. Yes – tied for first place is the research that goes into a new pitch or campaign idea. That’s where it all starts! and builds momentum from there)

What made you select PAN? Initial impressions so far?

PAN gets it – that became apparent right away. The investment in building PAN digital is smart, and I trust my gut when I speak to people and find them to be well rounded, bright and reflective. What I heard when speaking to Liz, Lisa and David was that PAN was a company that put talent first and supported great ideas – and the proof is in the pudding. So far, you haven’t disappointed.

Where can we find you on the weekends?

At the MFA, watching live music, cooking solo or with friends, at a speakeasy, making floral bouquets, vintage furniture shopping, binge-watching Anthony Bourdain or Fareed Zakarias…maybe exercising (if it’s fun exercising). When it’s warm, I play outside.

Fill in the blanks – My favorite artist is Jackson Pollock. My favorite food is pasta carbonara. My favorite place on earth is Traverse City, Michigan. My favorite cheese is smoked gouda. I think that summarizes a lot about me…
