Tell us three fun facts about yourself.

  • I have a twin brother.
  • I am a yogi in training, meaning I am not good at yoga but I love it.
  • I will travel far for a good slice of pizza.

What made you go into PR and what do you love most about it?

  • PR was a happy accident. I moved to Boston for a master’s program and ended up interning at a small PR agency (with zero prior knowledge of PR!). It was an amazing experience to see the impact my writing and research had on my clients and I have not looked back since!
  • I love getting to know what my clients are passionate about and figuring out the best way to market it.

What made you select PAN? Initial impressions so far?

After my first taste of tech PR, I was hooked. It is so fascinating learning about a field you have no experience or knowledge in. I wanted to explore PR outside of my comfort zone and get a better understanding of how tech PR differs from what I was used to. My first two weeks at PAN have been amazing, everyone is so kind and I am already learning so much!

Where can we find you on the weekends?

Never in Boston. I am constantly traveling visiting friends and family, exploring new places and trying new things (mostly food).

Fill in the blanks – My favorite food is _______ANYTHING with cheese (Mac and Cheese/Pizza/Grilled Cheese ect).

Tell us three fun facts about yourself.

  • I’ve never played a team sport.
  • I pick up new languages very easily.
  • Aside from my immediate family and a few relatives, my entire family lives in South Africa. I visit as often as I can – it has always felt like a second home.

What made you go into PR and what do you love most about it?

I was originally a film major because I wanted to tell stories and reach large audiences. However, I realized I only enjoyed my screenwriting classes. So I switched to advertising, but didn’t feel like there was enough writing involved. Then I discovered PR and it all just clicked!

Favorite part of PR and why did you go into it?

My favorite part of PR is how collaborative it is. I used to freelance and while it was a great experience, I really missed having people to bounce ideas off of and learn from. I’m always amazed at the kinds of ideas we can come up with when we put our heads together and how many different approaches there are to one problem or idea.

What made you select PAN? Initial impressions so far?

PAN really impressed me from the start. Before I interviewed, I met up with Lauren Kaufman to talk about how she likes PAN. Her genuine passion was so evident, which was exactly what I was looking for. An agency to love as much as I love PR. When I came in to interview, everyone was so excited about their clients, their colleagues and their work. To me it was like the Disney World of PR – the happiest place on earth ;).

Often people put on fronts when they have candidates in the office, but I was so thrilled to find that it was no act. Everyone at PAN is so genuinely kind to each other and passionate about their jobs. I’ve found everyone to be very down to earth, but so incredibly smart and talented. Everyone really cares about doing the best possible work for clients and helping each other learn and grow along the way. It’s a really fantastic environment.

Where can we find you on the weekends?

On my couch watching Netflix with one of the many dogs I regularly babysit. Or at brunch – but I rarely go to the same brunch spot twice.

My favorite historical Boston landmark is King’s Chapel (just down the road). It’s super haunted and creepy. I love the ghost stories that come out of that place.

Tell us three fun facts about yourself.

  • I have 4 sisters – 2 older and 2 younger
  • I’m from Wisconsin - Ignore the stereotypes! It’s not just a frozen tundra with lots of cheese and beer
  • I love tacos, and usually eat them at least once a week

What made you go into PR and what do you love most about it?

Erin_Nordloh.jpgGrowing up, I always wanted to be a TV news reporter. I started college as a broadcast journalism major, but after interning at a local news station, I realized that wasn’t the path I wanted to take.  I enjoyed the fast-paced world of journalism, and loved to write, but being on TV didn’t seem as appealing anymore. After that, I started interning in the PR department at an advertising agency where I realized that PR was the perfect blend of marketing and journalism. I think it’s fun to work with reporters on a daily basis, help them get what they need, and brainstorm potential story angles.

What made you select PAN? Initial impressions so far?

One of the biggest things I noticed when interviewing was that everyone loves working at PAN. Most of the people I spoke with had been at the agency several years! I was so impressed. I wanted to be at an organization where I could grow, and PAN seemed like the perfect place for that.

So far, PAN is awesome. I love how collaborative and welcoming everyone is!

Where can we find you on the weekends?

I love taking spin classes so I usually try to squeeze  a few in over the weekends.  In the summer I try to take weekend trips out of the city – Cape Cod, Maine – anywhere with a beach!
