Inside Vantage’s Tech PR Team: Get to Know Cameron Brody

Cameron Brody

Wonder what Vantage PR’s Public Relations Assistant Cameron Brody is like outside of work? Find out in the post of our Inside Vantage’s Tech PR Team series!

If you could only eat 1 type of food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Bacon. I’d like to pretend like it took me more than half a second to think of my answer, but that would just be a lie. It’s the perfect food. Not only can it be eaten on its own (slow cooked on a cast iron skillet for maximum flavor) but you wrap other foods with it to make them better! Although admittedly, eating only bacon will likely mean the rest of my life won’t be particularly long. Two, three years tops.

Do you have any favorite sports you like to play or watch?

I’d say my favorite sport to play would be golf, and my favorite to watch is rugby. Golf is always fun because inevitability everyone becomes frustrated with how bad they’re playing so it just turns into a high stakes golf cart race. Or at least, that’s how my friends and I play. The thing about watching a live rugby game is that you’ll notice there are no cheers, only “oooooooooohhhhhh.”

I heard you have a picture with Kristen Bell. Do you know her personally or are you a super huge fan of hers?

I do! I was lucky enough to meet her at a work function last summer. That isn’t to say I’m not a big fan though. Veronica Mars, House of Lies, Fanboys, need I go on? Although for one of her best (lesser known) performances, you should check out Party Down on Hulu. You’ll recognize a lot of faces on that show.

Why did you decide to start a career in PR?

The short version? I don’t know if you’ve ever seen Aaron Sorkin’s The West Wing, but essentially it follows the experiences of the communications team in the White House. End game, I want to do that. So this seemed like the best place to get started.

If you were given a million dollars, what would you do with it?

$1,000,000? Hmmmmm. Honestly I’d probably fill my cabinet with Macallan 25 year scotch and put the rest towards buying my mom a house in the Hamptons. I’m sort of on the hook for one after she spent all these years putting up with my shenanigans.

What is your favorite thing/activity to do in Florida?

Joes Stone Crab! I go down to Florida every so often because my grandparents live near Boca Raton. One time we trekked over to Miami to try this famous restaurant and I don’t think I’ve ever had fresher seafood. You may notice a reoccurring theme in some of these answers between the food and television. Oh, and the beach, duh. You’ll never see me happier then when I’m on the beach with a good book.
