What is your dream vacation?
Wow. Well, that would have to be a 30 or 60-day sabbatical to travel the world. I would love to go backpacking through Europe. I want to see Japan, Iceland, Machu Picchu. I love to travel because you get to put yourself in someone else’s shoes, and it helps you think outside of the box. You get to open yourself up to all of those different perspectives. I also love seeing the old architecture, and traditional ways of living. It helps me be more grounded. And of course, I can’t get enough of the nature stuff.
If you could meet anyone in the world, who would it be?
Definitely a historical figure, probably Gandhi! I would want to meet him because he’s this person who inspires so many people, had this steadfast attitude about everything in life being good, and that is something to aspire to. I would want to learn how he became that way. Or how anyone with this sort of perspective becomes that way. Were they born with it, or did they wake up one day and want to be a better person and just made it happen?
What makes you happy? In other words, what is it that you hope you never have to live without?
Faith. Faith in people; that they will always choose the right thing to do. Having this faith makes me more optimistic. Sometimes I can default to a negative side, but faith brings me back out of it. You have to expect the best out of people, and if that is not happening then you have to understand and accept that they are in a different phase in their life, and they will learn from the experience. That one day they will understand the big picture.
